Directions to the WASN BIG EVENT!!

DIRECTIONS FROM ALL POINTS

The event is at Riverside Skate Park on 108th and Riverside Dr. in Manhattan, NYC. The park is not visible from Riverside Dr. You must enter the park at 108th street and walk down a set of stairs. Walk right and down another set of stairs. You must walk down a third set of stairs and then you will see it. The Skate Park is beside a baseball field to the left and basketball courts to the right. I will post signs at the top of the stairs. Park also sits right beside the Hudson River over looking the West Side Highway also known as the Henry Hudson Highway and NY9a.

ON FOOT:

Take the 1/9 Subway to 110th street stop. Walk across Broadway and south to 108th. Walk west one block to Riverside Dr. Follow directions above.

BY CAR: FROM NEW ENGLAND AREA:

RT 95 S into NYC and follow signs to the George Washington Bridge. Exit "last exit before Bridge" to get onto the Henry Hudson Parkway South. Make sure you stay in your right lane as you are approaching the Bridge entrance, it can be tricky. Once on the Henry Hudson going South drive towards downtown. Exit at 95thstreet (don't go to 96th) and take your first left onto Riverside Dr. Follow directions above.
I suggest looking for parking anywhere along Riverside Dr.

FROM UPSTATE NY:

Take the NY State Thruway 87 South to the Palisades Parkway South to the George Washington Bridge. Stay in right lane and exit onto the Henry Hudson Highway South (Downtown). Exit at 95th street (don't go to 96th) Take your first left onto Riverside Dr. Follow directions above. I suggest looking for parking anywhere along Riverside Dr. (right before the Exit, the park is visible from the highway, look left)

FROM NJ AND PENNSYLVANIA AND THE SOUTH:

New Jersey Turnpike to the Holland or Lincoln Tunnels into Manhattan. Follow signs uptown. Get onto the West Side Highway also known as 12th avenue going north or Uptown. You will be driving along the Hudson River. At 59th it turns into the Henry Hudson Highway and exit at 95thstreet (don't go to 96th). Take your first left onto Riverside Dr. and look for parking anywhere along Riverside Dr. Follow directions above.

AIRPORTS:

The closest is La Guardia airport in Queens, NY. A Taxi ride from La Guardia to 108th and Riverside Dr. will cost around $25.00. There is the CARY bus into the city for about $15 and will take you to the Port Authority bus terminal at 42nd and 8th Avenue. From there you can catch the subway 1/9 uptown to 110th street.
Kennedy International Airport would be the next option. It's also in Queens but further away from the city. Taxi will run you $35.00 to $40. You can also catch the Cary Bus there as well.
If you will be renting a car from the airport ask for a map and follow directions carefully. NYC Highways are tricky and always crowded. Remember you want to get to the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Another option is Newark International Airport. Taxi will run you $40 to the event site and there are public buses for about $12 into the Port Authority bus terminal in Manhattan.
